Ollie Hynd wins S8 200m IM Gold

Ollie Hynd (pictured centre) wins his first European title

We’re really pleased to welcome Ollie Hynd to the Kinetic Three Sixty team of Paralympic athletes.

Ollie is part of the Mansfield Nova Swimming Squad and is coached by Glen Smith. He recently returned from the International Paralympic Commitee (IPC) European Swimming Championships held in Berlin with 4 medals including a Gold in the 200m individual medley. On his way to an impressive medal haul Ollie set personal bests in all 5 of his events.

Ollie starts his strength and conditioning training in preparation for the qualification event for the 2012 Paralympic games in March before hopefully being selected to represent Great Brain on the worlds biggest sporting stage.

Ollie swims in the S8 classification and has muscular distrophy which causes weakness in his muscular system.
